Partnership's History
2005
* The Joyce Foundation awards the Partnership a one year grant for
operating expenses.
* The Partnership continues to function as a program of the IU
School of Medicine and also becomes a collaborating program with the
IU School of Law - Indianapolis, Hall Center for Law and Health.
* The Partnership changes it’s name to Indiana Partnership to
Prevent Violent Injury and Death to expand research and education
related to homicides and suicides and all underlying causes.
* The Partnership continues it’s firearm violence and suicide
prevention program for faith leaders and presents the project at the
Centers for Disease Control and the American Public Health
Association annual meetings.
* The Partnership applies for a National Institutes of Health grant
to expand the education and research components of the faith-based
program.
* The Partnership hires a new epidemiologist, Jodi Hackworth to
continue the data surveillance efforts.
